It is worth mentioning here that the famous smartphone news leaker who goes by the name @IceUniverse has recently shared that we may see a launch of a new smartphone with the 108MP camera sensor and a 10x optical zoom next year.

The report also showcases a render of the alleged Redmi Note 8 with its quad-camera setup. The smartphone is seen in a white colour similar to the Mi A3 and the cameras placed at the centre. There's no presence of a fingerprint sensor indicating that the phone will opt for an in-display one.
Xiaomi has been continuously dropping hints of its new 64-megapixel camera smartphone. At the same time Redmi's Weibing has also been teasing the new phone. All speculations lead to Redmi Note 8 launching with the 64-megapixel camera sensor. This phone is expected to launch in Xiaomi's turf by the end of this month.
Sony has also confirmed that this sensor will be available in smartphones launching in 2020. Here are some samples shot with the new sensor (these images are picked from the video and not in full resolution.)
Recently, the company confirmed the camera specifications of the Redmi Note 8 smartphone. The device will come equipped with 48 MP primary camera sensor will be paired with a super wide-angle lens, depth of field camera sensor, and a super macro camera lens. Further, it confirmed that the fourth camera is not a ToF sensor.
It also confirmed that the smartphone will come with a different camera design from that of the Pro model. The camera sensors on the Pro variant are aligned vertically and placed in the top-center position, the vertically-aligned camera sensors on the Redmi Note 8 are placed in the top-left position.
